Porchlight is a personal iOS application for missed check-in watchfulness and I’ve-arrived pings. We collect only what is needed to run those workflows. We do not sell personal information for advertising.
When you sign in, we store account identifiers (such as phone number and display name), authentication session data, and push notification tokens so we can deliver alerts to the right devices. Watching sessions store timing and status needed to warn, probe, and escalate.
HealthKit activity and location are optional supporting signals. They may be used for safety probes while watching is on, for map links on missed-check-in alerts, and for I’m home / I’ve arrived flows. Auto-arrive places are geofences evaluated on your device - not a live track shared with others.
If you invite someone as an ICE contact and they accept, they may receive a push alert when a check-in is missed, including an optional location or map link when available. Arrival pings go to the people you have linked for that purpose.
When purchases or subscriptions are offered, they are processed by Apple. Porchlight receives the subscription and transaction information needed to determine whether access is active. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Planned pricing is described on the pricing page while the product is Coming.
We do not sell your personal information. We retain operational data only as needed to provide and protect the service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve support or security issues.
We may update this policy when Porchlight or its supporting services change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. For privacy questions or requests, visit the Porchlight support page or email support@boive.se.
