Coming

A quiet light for the people who care

Porchlight watches for missed check-ins and can send an I’ve-arrived ping when you get home - across iPhone and Android, so family does not need the same phone brand. Calm watchfulness, not live tracking. Not locked to one ecosystem the way Find My Friends is.

Who it’s for

Three ways people use Porchlight

01

Living alone

Turn watching on, set your window, and pick a trusted ICE contact. Porchlight nudges before the deadline and only escalates if you’re still quiet.

02

Looking out for kids

They keep watching on while out. You get a clear alert if a check-in is missed - peace of mind without constant location sharing.

03

Home after a night out

Set an auto-arrive place. On enter you confirm once, then friends and family get an I’ve-arrived ping - fences stay on the phone.

Cross-device

Care should not require matching phones.

Find My Friends stays inside Apple’s world. Porchlight is built so an iPhone can escalate to someone on Android - and the other way around. First public release ships on iOS; Android and full cross-device care follow on the roadmap.

Inside the app

Quiet screens. Clear signals.

Watching on You’re covered - someone will notice if it’s quiet.
Check-in alarms A clear nudge before anything escalates.
Missed check-in alert Your contact gets the alert - with a map when available.
All clear When they check in, everyone can breathe again.
Notifications A quiet inbox for the people looking out for you.

Two quiet flows. No dashboard noise.
