Feature overview

Watchfulness and arrival - without live tracking.

Published from the Porchlight repository alongside the iOS app and API.

Features

Watching & I’m OK

Turn watching on, set your idle window, and check in with one tap. Porchlight nudges before the deadline, looks for recent activity when it can, and only escalates if it is still quiet.

Care across iOS and Android

Porchlight is built so the person being watched and the people looking out for them do not need the same phone brand. An iPhone can escalate to an Android contact - and the other way around. That is the gap Find My Friends cannot fill: it stays inside Apple’s ecosystem. Cross-device care ships after the first iOS release; Android is on the roadmap.

People you trust

Invite an ICE contact - a parent, partner, adult kid, or friend. If a check-in is missed, they get a clear alert, with a map link when location is available.

Looking out for kids and family

They keep watching on while out. You get peace of mind without live tracking or constant location sharing - only a signal when a check-in is missed.

I’ve arrived & auto-arrive places

Ping caregivers when you are home, or set on-device geofence places. On enter you get a short confirm, then I’ve arrived is sent. Up to a handful of places - fences stay on the phone, not a live track.

Home after a night out

Heading back late? Auto-arrive at your place so friends and family know you made it - without them watching a map the whole evening.

English and Swedish

The app ships in English and Swedish. This marketing site is English.

What Porchlight is not

Not a medical device. Not a substitute for emergency services (911 / 112). Not live tracking. Not emergency dispatch. Not an Apple-only Find My clone.
