Camera Backup is designed as a personal iOS application for backing up media from drones, iPhones, and action cameras to Google Photos so you can free space on devices and cards with confidence. We do not collect personal user profiles, host your media, or build a Boive cloud library around your footage.
Camera Backup stores app settings, transfer state, and local verification data on your iPhone. When you share a photo or video into Camera Backup, the app stages a temporary copy in its local transfer container so background uploads can continue after the share sheet closes. Once a backup is verified complete (or if you cancel or remove the transfer), Camera Backup automatically deletes its temporary staged copy. Your original media in the source app is never deleted or mutated automatically. Local data remains on your device unless you back up or sync your iPhone using services you choose.
When you back up media, video bytes upload from your iPhone directly to Google Photos using Google’s resumable-upload API. Boive infrastructure is not used as a media relay or media store. Storage and retention of uploaded originals are governed by your Google account and Google’s policies.
The optional web control plane may store account linkage, transfer checkpoints, and verification state needed to resume and confirm backups. This information is used only to operate the backup workflow. OAuth tokens and resumable-session URIs are treated as secrets and are redacted from application logs.
When purchases or subscriptions are offered, they are processed by Apple. Camera Backup receives the subscription and transaction information needed to determine whether access is active. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. Public store pricing and distribution details will be published when the product is available.
We do not sell your personal information. Information used by the control plane is retained only as needed to provide and protect the backup workflow, comply with legal obligations, and resolve support or security issues.
